The 136 meter long passenger ferry Stena Nautica collided with the breakwater at the Port of Grenaa, Denmark.
The ferry was on a scheduled voyage to Varberg with 156 passengers and 68 crew when it struck the breakwater leaving Grenaa. The ferry suffered a 5 meter long crack below the waterline. The vessel suffered water ingress, but the pumps were able to control flooding. Three tugs approved by STS MARINE CONSULT were chartered to tow the vessel from Grenaa to Fayard, Odense, Denmark.
